Painless Tooth Extractions in Ridgecrest, CA
If you are experiencing tooth pain, you may have severe decay. Depending on how severe the decay is, you may need to have the tooth removed. In addition to decay, your tooth may not finish pushing through the gum and result in your tooth needing to be removed or extracted. If you think you are in need of a tooth extraction, call The Dentist House today.
We Can Save Your Teeth
When your teeth are decayed, we will do everything we can to try to save them. We offer root canal services, fillings, and crowns to help save the tooth when possible. When it is not possible to save the tooth, we will remove the tooth through the extraction process to ensure that the decay does not spread into the gums and bone.
It is important to try and catch tooth decay as soon as possible because when you lose a tooth, you then risk bone loss.
How Is a Tooth Extraction Performed?
When you come in to The Dentist House for a tooth extraction, we will examine the tooth first to ensure there are no other underlying problems. Once the tooth or teeth that need to be extracted have been identified, we will then use a local anesthetic to numb the area around the tooth or teeth to be removed. We can even offer you sedation options to help you feel more comfortable.
Once the area is numb, the dentist will then begin to loosen your tooth or teeth using a special tool. Once the tooth is loose, the dentist can then remove the tooth from your mouth. If there is an infection in your mouth, it will be treated at this time as well. If the infection is severe, you will receive antibiotics to take home with you.
When you have a partially erupted tooth, we will work to remove it as painlessly as possible. If the tooth is deeply impacted, we will refer you to a specialist to have the tooth removed. Most wisdom teeth removals, for example, will need to be performed outside of our office.
